The First Meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) was successfully held at the University of Narowal under the chairmanship of the Worthy Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), Chairperson of the BASR in the Conference Hall, University of Narowal on August 18, 2026. The meeting was attended by distinguished members of the Board, including Professor Dr. Muhammad Alam Saeed, Director, Division of Science and Technology, University of Education Lahore, and Prof. Dr. Ayesha Ashfaq, Chairperson, Department of Development Communication, University of the Punjab. Dr. Ahmad Khawar Shahzad, Deputy Coordinator Officer, Punjab COE-CVE, Home Department, also joined the meeting as a member of the BASR. The meeting was also attended by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Anwer, Registrar, University of Narowal, Dr Muhammad Imran, Additional Director, Board of Advanced Studies and Research, University of Narowal, along with all Department In-Charges. Additional Director Advanced Studies, Dr. Muhammad Imran provided a detailed briefing on the Agendas and Key points. All agenda items were thoroughly discussed and deliberated upon by the Board. Following detailed consideration, all the presented agendas were approved. The successful conduct of the first BASR meeting marks an important milestone in strengthening the research and postgraduate academic framework of the University of Narowal. The meeting reflects the University’s commitment to promoting quality research, academic excellence, innovation, and a strong culture of higher studies.
