Introduction
The Department of Fine Arts at the University of Narowal is dedicated to nurturing creativity artistic excellence and cultural awareness through quality education in visual arts. The BFA Fine Arts program provides students with comprehensive knowledge of both traditional and contemporary art practices enabling them to develop artistic technical and critical thinking skills. The curriculum covers Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Printmaking, Graphic Design, Art History, Digital Arts, and Visual Communication.

The Department of Fine Arts is dedicated to nurturing exceptional artistic talent and intellectual growth by providing a rigorous, studio-based visual arts education integrated with critical historical and contemporary theory. We commit to fostering a vibrant creative community that respects Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage while actively embracing modern media and cross-disciplinary innovation. Through state-of-the-art facilities, expert mentorship, public exhibitions, and research-driven inquiry, we empower students to become socially conscious artists, scholars, and creative professionals who contribute meaningfully to the cultural and economic landscape of the nation and the global art world.
Mission
The Department of Fine Arts is committed to delivering students with a solid foundation in both classic and modern practices so they can become contemporary artists. We foster multidisciplinary and integrated methods to creating art using in-depth fundamental subjects. We train our students to work as creative professionals for-profit and non-profit segments of the creative economy. As a public university, we are committed to serving as a cultural hub for the local community and emphasize the value of the fine arts in creating a dynamic environment. We aim to cultivate in our students-critical thinking, image-making, and object-making abilities that will enable them to achieve their artistic goals.
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Develop comprehensive knowledge of visual arts art history and contemporary artistic practices. Enhance creative thinking imagination and artistic expression through studio-based learning. Equip students with technical skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital arts. Foster critical analysis and interpretation of artworks within historical cultural and social contexts. Promote innovation and experimentation in artistic production and creative problem-solving. Develop professional competencies required for careers in art design education and creative industries.
Encourage participation in exhibitions workshops research activities and community-based art projects. Strengthen communication and presentation skills for professional artistic practice. Promote appreciation preservation and documentation of cultural and artistic heritage. Prepare graduates for advanced studies professional careers and leadership roles in fine arts and visual culture.
To establish a strong academic foundation for the future development and successful launch of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programs under The Narowal Institute of Art and Architecture aiming to expand opportunities for advanced artistic education creative research and professional practice in the Narowal region.
