The Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) streamlines postgraduate degree programs across all academic departments. BASR assists postgraduate students through supervisory committee approvals, synopsis reviews, and organized thesis viva voce defenses.

BASR Responsibilities
- Process approval of new and revised postgraduate courses through the board
- Scrutinize synopses of theses, coursework plans, and supervisory committees
- Review postgraduate theses to maintain formatting standards specified by BASR
- Recommend panels of examiners for research evaluation and related academic functions
- Prepare agendas and conduct official BASR meetings
- Execute policies and administrative decisions made by BASR
