OFFICE OF RESEARCH, INNOVATION & COMMERCIALIZATION (ORIC)


The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) was established at UON in accordance with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad’s goal of making research a top priority for a sustainable economic growth and future knowledge economy. ORIC contributes to the development, expansion, enhancement, and management of research programs at the university by ensuring the quality of research and connecting it to education, society, and the economy.

ORIC is striving hard to strengthen the research culture in all disciplines of the University to bring it at par with other institutions of higher learning within the country and abroad. It aims to maintain the highest standards of research for both students and faculty. The ORIC is positively aimed to set the pace to match up to the challenges in the field of research and commercialization.

  • Promoting inter/cross disciplinary research
  • Building university / industry linkages
  • Inculcating entrepreneurship among researchers
  • Generating intellectual property through research, innovation, and commercialization
