Faculty member from the University of Narowal secures research grant worth PKR 3.9 Million by Pakistan Science Foundation in collaboration with Comsats University

University of Narowal, a newly established public university, is strengthening its roots in the field of research, Dr. Muhammad Salman Mubarik, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Biotechnology has successfully secured a research grant of PKR 3.9 Million by Pakistan Science Foundation as Co-PI on the project entitled CRISPR/Cas9-mediated knockout of TaNP1 genes to develop complete male sterile wheat lines in Pakistan in collaboration with Comsats University, Islamabad. Approval of the said project became possible due to the hard work and dedication of Dr. Mubarik and full support was extended by ORIC, University of Narowal. At this success Vice Chancellor, University of Narowal, Meritorious Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus congratulated Dr. Mubarik and ORIC at this achievement. He said that the faculty members like Dr. Mubarik are the asset of the university and he assured that the university will always support such initiatives.
