Short Film Competition and Career Counseling Workshop Held at University of Narowal
Narowal, June 25, 2025 – The Department of Mass Communication at the University of Narowal held an exciting Short Film Competition among BS 6th semester students. The event showcased the creative talents of young media students through a variety of short films covering diverse themes and innovative storytelling techniques.
The competition aimed to provide students with a platform to express their cinematic skills and practical knowledge in film production, scripting, and editing.
In addition to the competition, a Career Counseling in Media workshop was organized for the Mass Communication students. The workshop featured insightful sessions from prominent guests including Mr. Rana Adnan Shehzad, Public Relations Officer at Government College Women University Sialkot, and Mr. Haseeb Ansari, a creative specialist and social media expert.
The guests shared their professional experiences and offered valuable guidance on career paths in PR, digital media, and creative industries. Students actively engaged in the discussion and received practical advice on building a successful future in media.
Short Films were judged by a panel of jury members including Syed Babar Zaidi, directorate student affairs and Mr. Nasar Iqbal, head of English department. 
Dr. Kamran Khan, head of MCM department  admired students for their excellent work and Dr. Saba Sultana, lecturer in MCM department appreciated students for their brilliant performances in their projects. Students were also advised to continue their working along with suggestions for improving their shortcomings.
The event was a productive blend of creativity and career development, reflecting the department’s commitment to nurturing both the artistic and professional potential of its students.
